Signing Courses & Workshops

Classes are run by Alison Williams an experienced Signer and professional singer for 15 years.

Classes are filled with British Sign Language vocabulary tailor made to fit the babies specific age range and Signed songs and stories . They are 1 hour long with of course breaks for nappy changes, bottles, breast-feeding and cool drinks!!

All classes are themed covering, Playing, Eating & Drinking, Animals, Bedtime, Bathtime etc. with SIGN with your BABY™ British Reference Books and Signing Nursery Rhymes books available to purchase at classes.

Babies and pre-schoolers are all welcome.

Classes can be held in the comfort of your own home or at one of our venues. We also have ‘Progress’ courses available for those who loved the first course so much they feel like increasing their signing power!

Time to Sign courses last for 6 weeks and are £65.00

2 hour workshops are available. Host learns for free when there are 6 or more participants. We aim to have fun and teach in a warm and caring environment without pressure. Signing is a fantastic way to open up the communication lines between baby and parent or carer.

Nurseries, Playgroups and Pre-School workshops. As more and more parents and babies are becoming actively involved in Signing, it stands to reason that they may well look at the childcare facility to continue their good work. This is where Time to Sign comes in. Offering a workshop or 6 week course to teachers and child care professional we can cover all your basic Signing needs with a good grounding in theory.

Nurseries using Signing report lower noise levels, less episodes of unruly behaviour and reduced normal yet hazardous behaviour such as biting!!
